Legends of Tomorrow Season 2 Finale Synopsis

If you have listened to myself, Arlen Harrow, Hunter Davenport and Chris Smith talk on The Phantom Zone Podcast you will know that our favorite right now of the four DC Comics series’ is DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. Well, the season finale is in 2-3 weeks and the synopsis for the episode; titled ‘Aruba’ will see the culmination of the Legends and the Legion of Doom story involving the spear of Destiny. But like most episodes of the season there will be a historical figure involved and that is in the person of J.R.R. Tolkien played by Jack Turner.

“Aruba” — (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (Content Rating TBD) (HDTV) SEASON FINALE — As the Legends are about to take off for their next destination, a massive timequake rocks the ship. In order to try and fix what has happened, they are forced to break the one cardinal rule of time travel. But if they are able to destroy the spear, they will face the ultimate consequence. Victor Garber, Brandon Routh, Arthur Darvill, Caity Lotz, Dominic Purcell, Franz Drameh, Nick Zano and Maisie Richardson-Sellers. Rob Seidenglanz directed the episode written by Phil Klemmer & Marc Guggenheim (#217). Original airdate 4/4/2017.”

This episode will also see the return of Wentworth Miller’s Leonard Snart aka ‘Captain Cold’ along with Katie Cassidy’s Laurel Lance. Both of these characters were killed off of Legends and Arrow respectively last year what their presence in the episode are, are unknown. It was teased that Snart would be the fourth member of the Legion of Doom but that is still unknown. It is also unknown what role Laurel Lance plays in this episode. Maybe it’s the Earth-2 Black Siren version of Laurel. We honestly don’t know! Wentworth Miller returns to the show in next week’s “Fellowship of the Spear” episode of Legends.
