Kevin Tsujihara, CEO and chairman of Warner Bros. may have spilled the beans on a possible DC Comics entertainment streaming service.
According to Tsujihara, WB has been seeking new ways of distributing direct content to consumers, and one of their first targets is DC Entertainment, which has a “rabid” fan base, according to the CEO. Many other business insiders are speculating that WB could launch a DC-themed streaming service. Tsujihara addressed the matter, saying, “We’ve been working on that quite feverishly over the last 12 months.”
While no big movie/ or other entertainment have launched a streaming service Marvel has carved a new slice of the MCU on Netflix, and the Runaways on Hulu. The only service Marvel has is its Marvel Unlimited comics service. But the thing that most are concerned about is whether or not DC has enough animated and live action content to warrant a subscription to a streaming service.
