What We Learned From DC’s February Solicitations

Now that DC Comics’ February solicitations are here there’s quite a lot of information that surfaced. Whether it’s Justice League of America by Steve Orlando or Batwoman courtesy of Margurite Bennet and Steve Epting. Perhaps the biggest book of February is “The Wild Storm” by legend Warren Ellis and John Davis-Hunt which is both Warren Ellis’ return and comic reader’s return to the Wildstorm Universe first created over two decades ago by Jim Lee when Image first started.

“The Wild Storm” #1 by Ellis and Davis-Hunt will follow Angela Spica, a woman sick from self-administered ‘transhuman implants’ lead her to a new universe the Wild Storm Universe. Ellis’ new series will find Grifter, Voodoo, Jenny Sparks and more re-invented by Ellis and Davis-Hunt.

“This is how the Wild Storm begins, and it may destroy covert power structures, secret space programs and even all of human history.”

Also debuting in the month is Justice League of America: Rebirth #1 by Steve Orlando which shows how Batman assembled the team of Black Canary, Killer Frost, the Ray, Vixen, Ryan Choi’s version of The Atom, and Lobo. Also being re-introduced are the Extremists who were first seen in the pages of Justice League Europe. The next bit of the solicitation comes in the form of “Titans” next story arc which is titled “Made In Manhattan” which should move the story introduced in the pages of DC Universe Rebirth forward.
